Dr. Glenford Nixon, MD, CMD is a fellowship-trained geriatrician currently practicing as a solo practitioner, visiting seniors on Long Island. Founded in 2000 as Visiting Physicians Service New York, now Dr. Glenford Nixon MD PC, is a geriatrician in Oyster Bay. His interests include Dementia (Alzheimer’s, Vascular etc.), Pressure Ulcers, Medical Decision Making in the Elderly, and End of Life Care discussions. Dr. Nixon is also a Certified Medical Director (CMD) at a skilled nursing facility on Long Island. Dr. Nixon earned his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in 1985. Followed by an internal medicine residency from Winthrop-University Hospital from 1985 to 1988. He then completed his Geriatric Medicine fellowship from the same institution from 1988 to 1990.
